After almost ten years of working in the office for one on the three major localisation companies in the world, there finally came the time to go freelance. Moving to a new, exciting location (Bucharest), meeting new people and chosing a new career path does not come easy, but is oh, so rewarding.
Starting almost shortly after graduation as a junior translator and moving up "the ladder" towards the position of a senior translator and a line manager was a dream come true. I was learning heaps along the way, doing the things that I love and really enjoy - translating and working closely with a brilliant team of translators: entusiastic professionals with great personalities. I also was presented with an opportunity I really could not miss: to became a medical translator. Not being able to pursue my dream of becoming a physician, I found my passion for the medical field...translating well into localisation of medical texts. And how lucky I was to have my dreams come true!
After many years of working in the office, though, I choose to pursue my passion for translation in the vast world of the freelance market. This allows me to travel around the world, meet exciting people and get to know different cultures with the perks of still being able to support myself as a professional.
